This course talks about the challenges of local governments in the case of sustainable cities to be more efficient in technologies, energy systems, and transportation.
The first part introduces the SDGs. As Professor Sachs explains, we should consider sustainable spaces in near future.
The second part describes the visions that are useful to reach sustainable cities. He also talks about the concepts that shaped SDG 11. At the end of this part he explains future needs and the way of designing cities for the increasing world population.
The third part examines the benefits of advances in technology, also summarizes agendas for sustainability, and explains all of them.
In part four, Professor Sachs notices issues such as climate change and pollution to confirm the necessity of smart cities. He describes new techniques to achieve SDG 11.
The last part concludes the issues that are mentioned before. He explains case studies that are done, and how we can use them in the future. Professor Sachs mentions universities and other centers as hubs of learning and innovation to reach our goals.
There are some questions after each video. Learners can answer these questions and if they are Verified they can access the Final Exam. Students should pass 100% of the general course grade. Before starting, read the instructions, please.
